Great North Swim Success

Well done to Morpeth Swimming Club members and past members who swam on 7th June in the Great North Swim at Lake Windermere.

First timer Alison Smith swam 250m with her eldest daughter and past member Holly Smith completing the swim in 10.44m and 7.14m respectively.

Holly went on to swim the half mile in 23.45m and the 1 mile in 55.19 - super swimming ladies.

Also in the 1 mile race with Coach Claire Logan completed it in a magnificent 27.15mins! Coach Chelsey Whyman swam 37.09m whilst coaches and Masters Squad swimmers Jeremy Butterworth 37.27m and Valda Butterworth 39.40m also did us proud.

Coach and squad swimmer Richard Butterworth put on a great show completing the 2 mile swim in 46.57m and Valda Swam a second race completing a whopping 5km in 2.15.36hrs
