The Northumberland swimming hub was established through the Northumberland Club Network to provide additional training opportunities for swimmers and coaches within Northumberland.

It is hoped that through the hub and by training with different swimmers and coaches, the athletes will further develop their skills and level of performance.

The hub fits within the Northumberland and Durham Swimming Development Programme, providing a link for swimmers and coaches to the Northumberland and Durham Swimming Performance sessions held at the Sunderland Aquatics centre.

The Northumberland hub contains swimmers from Ashington, Morpeth, Tynedale, Blyth and Alnwick swimming clubs and sessions take place across the pools in Northumberland.

 Each swimmer selected onto the hub programme will receive a FREE hub hat.
